Psalms 103:19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Daniel 4:17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men. [John 19:11]

In an attempt to discern what kind of “kingdom” the Lord Jesus Christ was presenting or offering to the nation of Israel during His earthly ministry it is necessary to review all of the verses of Scripture concerning the “kingdom” (or “kingdoms”) prior to John the Baptist’s and the Lord’s proclamation of the coming “kingdom” [Matthew 3:2; 4:17].
